About Rachael Flick

Meet Rachael Flick

One thing that is unmistakable for anyone who meets Rachael, or hears her speak, is her passion. Growing up, Rachael dreamed of being a doctor. Passionate about people and being an instrument in helping them heal, Rachael earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Kansas State University. Fascinated by the inherent design of the Creator within the human body, Rachael began exploring the growth process by coaching basketball and swimming.

While her educational path diverged from medicine, Rachael continued to support wellness journeys for others as a high school P.E. teacher and a personal trainer. Rachael watched as people tried and failed to transform their lives exclusively through fitness. With an intense curiosity, Rachael began to investigate the role that the mind, soul and spirit played in personal integration, wholeness and healing. This search for a path to deep healing, led Rachael to obtain a Masters’ Degree in Counseling from Colorado Christian University.

Overcoming Grief and Loss

Tragically, Rachael lost her husband of ten years on February 5, 2018. Deputy Sheriff Micah Flick was killed in the line of duty while attempting to arrest a car thief. On the day of Micah’s funeral, Rachael stood before thousands of uniformed police, and a globally streamed audience, to call a broken nation to a return to honor. Filled with the power of God, Rachael spoke into the highly charged cultural conflict that has resulted in the intentional murder of law enforcement.

Now, a young widow with two young children, Rachael is walking through her own journey of grief while challenging others to persevere and overcome their own circumstances. Rachael speaks and writes poignantly about the internal transformation necessary to restore a divided nation. As she has clung to the promise of God’s faithfulness, Rachael has discovered the wisdom and authority found uniquely in suffering. Rachael has the ability to wrap captivating language and infuse hope around challenging systemic issues through her vulnerable style of storytelling. Rachael continues to watch the redemption of God through her story in her podcast, The Hopecast with Rachael Flick and sharing the message of resilience and her post traumatic growth with audiences around the nation.
